BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & CRM OFFICER

Cynthia Nkosi

I am an experienced and purpose-driven marketing and development professional with over four years of progressive experience in client relationship management, business development, publicity, research, administration, and strategic communication. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the Catholic University of Malawi (2017–2020), and throughout my career, I have successfully led projects, managed cross-functional teams, overseen operations, and contributed to high-level decision-making processes in both private and development-focused environments.

My leadership journey began during my time at university, where I served as President of the Marketing Association and General Secretary of the Students Union—positions that required high levels of coordination, planning, and stakeholder engagement. These roles laid the foundation for my leadership style: inclusive, organized, and results oriented. Additionally, I served as the TNM Brand Ambassador, where I managed promotional campaigns and coordinated directly with corporate representatives to implement branding initiatives on campus.

In 2022, I founded and began managing my own event planning business, through which I developed deep entrepreneurial insights, mastered client relations, budget management, and project execution. I oversee all operations—from client acquisition and vendor negotiations to financial planning and event logistics—ensuring that the business delivers memorable, detail-oriented experiences.

As a Development, Research, and Administration Officer, I was responsible for overseeing the Blantyre office’s financial operations, managing internal and external communications, and leading company branding efforts. I developed and implemented stakeholder engagement strategies, curated monthly newsletters, presented marketing proposals, and facilitated company workshops. I also ensured timely delivery of publications across platforms including LinkedIn, Twitter, and the organization’s mailing lists.

As Customer Relationship Management and Publicity Officer, I was entrusted with overseeing the client management systems, coordinating branding efforts with third- party vendors, and resolving technical issues in collaboration with our IT support team and internal onboarding processes. I led the development of a revised Client Satisfaction Assessment tool, facilitated its implementation across departments, and trained staff on its usage. I managed onboarding for key staff in both Malawi, Botswana and Uganda—ensuring that each new member was seamlessly integrated into their respective roles.

In my role as Risk Tracking and Response Officer, I managed coordination with health facilities, monitored digital reporting systems, conducted routine site visits, and produced detailed operational reports—demonstrating my ability to lead field-based initiatives, work under pressure, and drive health surveillance outcomes. Currently, as a Business Development Officer, I hold a senior strategic position where I manage company visibility and outreach. I oversee all aspects of corporate publicity, including the planning and execution of high-profile research dissemination events, workshops, and media engagement campaigns. I coordinate inter-organizational proposals, maintain an annual communication matrix, and lead the development of the company’s new website.

Beyond technical tasks, my role requires me to collaborate closely with directors and senior management to align project outcomes with organizational goals. I routinely represent the organization in external engagements, produce strategic communications, and ensure that client satisfaction and visibility remain top priorities. My diverse experience across operations, stakeholder engagement, marketing, branding, administration, and research has equipped me with a strong portfolio of managerial, analytical, and leadership skills. I am passionate about driving organizational growth, optimizing systems, and delivering value through innovative and people-centered solutions.
