Benjamin Ailak
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Ailak Benjamin has 3 years proven and progressive experience in the design, implementation, monitoring and management of integrated WASH and livelihood projects, Nutrition, Education, Infrastructure, Global Food security, Orphans and vulnerable children and Health system strengthening. He has supported program staff and Sub grantees in project design and monitoring and evaluation in post conflict and development areas including central Uganda, Northern Uganda and other parts of Uganda.
Benjamin has been fully involved in the design and implementation of MEAL systems at different project stages from different donors with different M&E requirements mainly CDC, USAID, RiGHT Foundation and World Bank. Benjamin has advised projects in setting up and maintaining data collection systems for measuring results; developed research and evaluation materials, data collection instruments, analysis plans, and reports. He has participated in the development and review of activity-specific M&E plans, identified indicators, and developed results frameworks. Benjamin has collected data and conducted both qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Benjamin has successfully and consistently carried out several social research assignments - critical tasks included pre-testing of data collection instruments, data collection through questionnaires, focus groups, in-depth interviews and document reviews and dissemination of findings by means of workshops,webinars, reports and through websites. Benjamin is familiar with the use of the following statistical computer packages; SPSS,Atlas TI, Dedoose, Epi-info, Kobo collect tool, Solstice, Mwater, STATA and excel. As MERL Officer, he is responsible for the oversight of all MERL activities for Compelling Works Limited and works closely with other stakeholders.
Benjamin holds a Bachelor’s degree of Arts in Development Economics from Makerere University.
